    You could be right.
Funny the last event got a lot of attention in the media and delivered little. This could catch people unawares

Certainly plenty of wintry precipitation overnight, where and how much snow falls will be interesting. Looks very cold tomorrow morning across the country with a lot of wet and perhaps frozen roads inland.

Kermit do you think anything in the east coast will make it here or will they fizzle out before they make it here

Looks a tight thermal gradient as the front passes through

Lovely dry, calm conditions for rugby in Monivea, just finished up so the rain / snow can come now.

Could be a heavy hail shower with a risk of thunder heading for Galway in the next 20 minutes...

That band moving in from Atlantic is falling as hail here. Oh Sh*it! Huge flash lightning followed closely by thunder. NW Clare

Would expect this area of heavy rain showers to make rapid progress east now, with rain turning to snow over higher parts of Donegal around 10 p.m. to midnight then into parts of western NI 11 p.m. on, this changeover only at higher elevations in Connacht and more gradual further south, possibly snow on hills before morning.

The intensity in Donegal, Derry and Tyrone might be fairly strong with 2-5 cm accumulations possible by midnight or 0100h.

    Quite heavy, nothing spectacular however.

Dropped to 4.6c in West Clare.

Anyone under these red bits able to confirm what's actually falling? :D

A lot of green there, more than we'd have expected this early?
