The showers approaching after the front should be of snow to the lowest levels when they begin to come on shore shortly. It's a question of how far inland they spread after that. Temperatures heading toward freezing as well. The front crossing the country turning to sleet and snow as it moves off shore.

I don't expect much if any accumulation from this in the east away from high ground. We'd need to have some half decent showers to follow on later.

Could be any icy start tomorrow.

Looks like another night snow here. It will most likely be gone by morning - was coming down heavily about 30 minutes ago when the dogs went out to play with the fox - (chasing :-D) I couldn't see which part of the garden they were in the flakes were falling so fast.

starting to rain here, temps way to high for snow, still 5C.

edit: stopped again. i'm just at the edge of the rain/sleet band.

Showers out to sea, approaching mayo are already of sleet, which is a good sign if you're looking for snow.

There is a steep enough temperature gradient (3 - 4c end to end) with this so i'd imagine those temps will slip back rapidly as the front goes through...
