You get a list of doctors to go to, but the IPS pay for it and the doctor sends both off for you. If I were you I would get the hearing test done first and then bring that to the doctor and he will send both of them off. You have to pay for the hearing test.

just got my results from My interview just before christmas
Jumped up to low 30s in oom was at 300s
Anyone any idea what kind of timescale im looking at ?
i thought my interviews was a disaster

I just jumped from 370s to in the first 10 :O cant believe it!!! Congrats everyone!!

Congratulations folks. I did my interview in June and placed in top 20. Got notification of medical with a week of been told I passed interview. Had 6 weeks to complete medical and return to CMO.. Was told I passed medical about two weeks after dated passed to have everything in and then got about 4 weeks notice before PCT. I'm waiting on clearance now! Well done again

Did you get an email to say you passed the medical or a letter? I done my medical at the end of November and haven’t heard anything as of yet.

I got an email to say I passed medical and a invitation to PCT. All in the one email.

Ah very good. I’m still waiting to hear results of medical but the doctor said I passed anyway, whether that makes a difference or not!?

I'd say your good. As far as I know, CMO will contact you if there's a problem and if you haven't heard anything by now I'd say your good to go. IPS probably just waiting on numbers and sorting logistics for PCT before getting in touch.

I was successful at interview that I done before Xmas. Any idea of the time frame for being called for medical and physical?? Does anyone know the training dates for 2019?? Feb and anything else??

Well done on passing,

You can ring IPS they can give you a good guide line. I would say PCT either march or April then training in the end of summer(if you're lucky).......but doesn't really matter about the oom number it's all about your security clearance for your start in the IPC.

Think the training is every 2 months, so

It’s a long wait, I done my interview early July and have just done my medical last week

I did my interview in June and PCT in October and I'm still waiting. I was told by a detective friend that my file has not been sent to Garda vetting(He checked this very recently) I contacted IPS recently and I was advised clearance not back. It's a pain waiting!! Anybody from June still waiting?

Silly question and would appreciate some help
Past interview in December and I know I have an awful long way still to go but the only thing is as a family we haven’t been away in years and I have a holiday in May and a weekend away in June all booked and paid for What happens if I am called before June am I Goosed and have to put Job aura dof famly time or do I let them
Know after passing medical and fitness or what ?
I really want the Job but as a family we need these breaks
Appreciate any feedback

Well done on passing so far. When you do the PCT you will also do an orientation which consists of a tour of Midlands Prison and a classroom talk with a Chief Officer. Now I can't say for sure but the impression I got was if you had something planned prior to training like an operation. If there's a bereavement then they will let you off too. There was no mention of Holiday arrangements. In saying all that, you can ask on the day of your PCT and you'll get a straight answer.If you get an offer to start you can also mention it then and maybe defer until the next class. With abit of luck the timing will work out for you. I'm pretty sure you can defer your PCT if it happens to be while your away too. Not sure about medical. Best of luck

I’ve passed interview and just wanted to query had they got an estimated time of how long I’ll be wait to here in relation to the next stage

Next stage so will be :

: Medical then PCT
It's not possible to give an accurate time frame on when you will be called for both medical and pct,as this depends entirely on when IPS decide to put more candidates forward to do them.

OOM is for the whole campaign.

Sorry just don't understand how it's over the whole campaign.? I just found out I'm OOM 7 but I only just done my interview last week surely there's people from previous interviews that are a higher OOM than me and would have completed their fitness and stuff already? I assume the OOM is taken from the batch they interviewed that particular time? I just don't understand.?
