Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Should have been a YC.

It’s in memory of a young child that died from Cancer tbf

    Still irrelevant / unnecessary

Italy have a lot of territory and possession, the problem is that England have cut through them like a hot knife through butter any time they've had a sniff.

Italy midfield defence is a shambles. Aki could do serious damage there next week

No way England were back on the line from the quick tap penalty. Missed by ref and TJ

Yeah, that looked dodge to me on first viewing. If it was indeed the case then it was a stone cold yellow.

Someone tell Itoje you can't charge a penalty.

  • Registered Users Posts: 837 ✭✭✭Subpopulus

Great stuff from Italy. Not playing like a team ranked 13th in the world.

Still expect England to cut loose later in the 2nd half though.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,590 ✭✭✭CurryFlavoured

Good first half from Italy, but you still feel like England will score at least another 2-3 tries and pull away.

Kicked straight out, does that not mean they need to take the lineout?

Irrelevant to you. Talk about being miserable, what difference does it make to you?

He tapped first did he not?

Mako especially just got up and made a tackle.

Italy hanging in there, they look like they’ve got a team though.
England will crank through the gears though

Muscular dystrophy. And it's for the charity he helps as well as the young boy.

It raises awareness, puts a smile on very ill kids faces. Don’t be such a killjoy

It's only a free kick not a penalty, and he tapped it first, so no.

Not a bad showing from the Italians despite a horrific first quarter.
England will still win it in the 4th but it's good to see Italy at least still competitive

The chap should be commended for promoting a charity which does a lot of good work.

Hardly irrelevent and very much not unnecessary

He tapped but it was a free kick and not a penalty anyway.

Why the need to tell the world he does charity work with hand signals?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,817 ✭✭✭✭bilston

Italy showing a lot of aggression in the collisions. They also seem to have a bit of pace out wide.

Some of England's handling has been very impressive in midfield between Ford, Farrell and the forwards.

I expect England will pull away and win by 20+ points.

He isnt telling the world. Hes telling those who care. Not those of you who dont.

Its called raising awareness. Like why have a guy with a high profile as patron if he isnt going to use that profile to raise awareness

Its why many charities are only too happy to have patrons such as Farrell or Brian O'Driscoll who use their positions to help them fund raise etc. Farrell raising awareness of Joining Jack should be seen as a good thing unless your a sad pathetic person

They only showed one replay but I think a tackler landed on his leg and twisted his knee as he was passing away from a ruck.

Italy need to stop giving England such easy let offs after periods of pressure.

I rewound it, Italian hit a counter ruck on Coles, Coles went backwards and fell into Youngs’ left leg. His knee collapsed.

    Shame, always forward though

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,300 ✭✭✭✭razorblunt

Allen knew he passed it forward, drop kick the conversion and move on. Why are 10s so slow to do that?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,599 ✭✭✭ScrubsfanChris

And that's probably any hope of a comeback gone. Just hope Italy now don't fold in that last 20 like they've done before

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,300 ✭✭✭✭razorblunt

I’d forgotten Simmonds was playing. Quiet enough day for him until that.

  • Registered Users Posts: 837 ✭✭✭Subpopulus

Italians just don't seem to be able to get their heads around lineouts. Whether they're taking them or defending against them.

Yellow coming for England here, very cynical.

Has to be a yellow card now.

    Should be a try.

  • Registered Users Posts: 11,790 ✭✭✭✭Burkie1203

Brown high tackle. Penalty try surely

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,590 ✭✭✭CurryFlavoured

    So close, marginally out.

England slowing down every ruck though. Itoje was just laying on the ball at the last ruck, took #9 about 30 seconds to dig the ball out.

Seatbelt tackle from Brown there surely

    Try:)

Have to say, knee was definitely in touch before he grounded it.

But Italy are really putting it up to England here.

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 27,325 Mod ✭✭✭✭Podge_irl

They seemed too focused on the touchline to notice the tackle...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,599 ✭✭✭ScrubsfanChris

He technically didn't touch the white line with that divit of grass stuck to his knee :pac:

Italy been their own worst enemies again here. The BP try for England was a lesson in how not to play international rugby. The Italian lineout continues to be a shambles in attack and defence.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,965 ✭✭✭blackwhite

Try being given saved England there - would have been a yellow for the maul infringements otherwise
