Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Irish rail announcements

    I was wondering weather irish rail will ever improve their announcement system so that it's not just in the Dublin city centre stations. They also need better announcment for when a train is not stopping at the station.
    British example: 'stand well back from the platform edge, the next train on platform 4 does not stop here'.
    Irish example: 'please stand back behind the yellow line, train now approaching. But the irish announcement plays if the train is stopping there as well.
    Do irish rail still use the English accent announcement.

    Your supposed to be behind the yellow line regardless of a train stopping or not. I don't see why they should change this. I'm not sure the system in the UK is entirely automatic either so not exactly practical here.

    Michael Comyn does most of the automated announcements but there is a British one operating at some stations, Athlone advising to stand clear of the platform.

    How do you work out that it makes out that the train is stopping? Approaching doesn't mean stopping.
