Shortest in terms of distance was Dublin to Galway. But I've been on a Liverpool to Dublin flight which made it in 23 minutes (back in the good old days when you could be cheeky and get a jumpseat on a 737-200).

Longest either Kuala Lumpur to LHR or DUB-LAX.

Shortest: Dublin to IOM and then IOM to Blackpool way back in the 70's. I was only about 5 or 6 at the time.

Longest: London Heathrow to Tokyo, just before the in flight entertainment in seats became the norm. We had the journey map in front of us for the 12 or so hours, 9 of those hours being over Russia.

Shortest: DUB to SNN. Apparently, as the crow flies, this is about 195km but just on the stopover so not a scheduled flight as such

This only marginally beats USM-KBV which I did a couple of years ago on a Bangkok Airways ATR 72-500. That was 200 km, took about 25 minutes

Longest: LHR-KUL, A380, approx 10,600 km

I always laugh at that one, its clearly a connecting flight for people, but the ICE is an hour station to station so I'm always amazed it keeps going.

For me :

Shortest: Dublin - Liverpool, 228km
Longest: Dublin - Larnaca

Shortest: Nuremberg - Frankfurt, 191km. We spent more time sitting on the ground with a technicians head in the underbelly of the plane than we did flying

I flew from Nuremberg to Frankfurt as well. The bus journey at Frankfurt Airport felt longer than the flight!

Longest wasn't long haul but felt like it. 4:35 Dublin to Las Palmas at the back of a very noisy MD83 on my honeymoon and absolutely dying with the 'flu

Ahhh...remembered a shorter flight! Miri to Limbang (Malaysia) which google maps tells me is 125 kms as the crow flies. About 30 mins in an ATR72. Limbang's new airport replaced a smaller one which was serviced by Twin Otters, that would have been fun!
