Longest - Heathrow to LA, 11.5 hours.

shortest - Dublin to Liverpool, 22 minutes - it was so short, the seat belt light was off only long enough for 1 person to go to the toilet (was a late night flight, straight out over the irish sea and a few lads had been drinking at the bar:D)

What were the circumstances of this one, especially in an A330?

Shortest: Gatwick to Heathrow on the British Caledonian helicopter. IIRC about 10 minutes.

If you arrived into LGW on a B-Cal flight and had an onward connection from LHR (any airline), they transferred you for free in their own helicopter.

As soon as we were off the ground, a girl in a tartan skirt (B-Cal uniform) unbuckled her seat belt, stood up and offered each of us a boiled sweet from a wicker basket. That probably took all of 30 seconds, then she sat down again.

    Shortest dublin to derry
Longest madrid to buenos aires, about 13 hours with no seat entertainment. Just old fashioned tiny screens rows ahead of you. It wasn't that long ago either
