Service cancelled correctly but Eir didnt cancel

Hi There
I cancelled my contract on time.
Returned the correct cancel form Eir received.and confirmed.
6 months later Im now recieveing debt collection calls and texts from EIR saying my account is suspended.When I last called it took 2 hours on the phone to sort.
When I now call the phone system wont recognize the account number.
Please can you look into this its quite upsetting at this stage
