Bandylegs leads the way through the South Door, stopping at the entrance to check for any danger.
BandyLegs enters a room with two doors out and a stairway downwards. It's mostly is full of ancient recliners and vases, now covered with dust and cobwebs.

One door is broken and inside is a room with a woman sitting cross legged on the ground humming to herself with cult robes on.

    The other door is closed.

Goodie can see an entrance via an aqueduct that the ship last tracked BandyLegs to.

i get the ship to put me down there and instruct it to avoid danger and track me as much as it can and to definatly come for me the second i come out .
i fix a point in my mind and become familiar with it so i can port there if nessicary and instruct the ship to stay near that point and again keep watch for me

i enter te pyramid and track the trio in, i move stealth and fast

The woman is very evil as evidenced by the deep red glow she emits after the spell is cast.

On seeing the red glow, Kuma stops trying to pick out the tune.

Each vase explodes violently when it lands at the base of the stairs, eventually a loud collapse of masonry is heard.

I move faster upon hearing the noise

Goodie arrives in the same room as the rest of the party. Some dust and smoke rising from the stairs Ekbard had tossed the vases down.

OOC: I presume Goodie has caught up with us at this point? If so...

Bandylegs notices Goodie coming from the South Door. He silently motions the sign of an arrow being fired and gestures to the chanting woman.

He catches Ekbard's arm and points to the chanting woman as well, making a slitting throat gesture.

Bandylegs peeks into the room and checks for traps

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,558 ✭✭✭✭Fourier

The circle is clearly a trap of some sort, as it glows red as well. BandyLegs avoids it. The woman has no items of especial interest on her.

Kyokuma notes the gestures for future reference, and mentally discards a few of the ones she had been using up to now which clearly don't convey her intended meanings. In retrospect it explains a lot about why her last party are all dead.

Bandylegs pulls back from the room and points out the circle to the others. He nods at Kyokuma, and heads down the stairs where Ekbard had thrown vases. He checks the stairs for any traps as he slowly proceeds.

    BandyLegs descends the stairs.

The room is an utter ruin, statues and furniture blown to the far corners of the room.

The bombs have also blown open a wall that concealed a hidden entrance.

To the West is an archway with "Records" above it. To the East, now revealed following the explosion, one with "Sensation" written on the roof of the tunnel it leads into.

Bandylegs checks the hidden entrance in The East first for traps, then peeks into the room using his infravision to see what is within.

"this pyramid was your goal, yes? What do you know of the cult? I can't think of a reason why 'sensation' won't end with us walking down n some giant creatures gullet, but you are the professionals here"

'Aye. Ter stop the storms that ravage this desert fer good. How did ye make it out to the head anyways lass? We needed the mage to keep them at bay fer us. Sensations, Records - Bandylegs cares not.

We shall find the evil within here and rout it out fer all time. Or my name not be Bandylegs McGillicuddy, head cleric o'Vergadain!

I told ye that part o'the story, right?'

"you mentioned it once or tence. I was not in the vanguard when we encountered the beast in the head. There were limits to how many of us it could consume at once, which afforded me a margin for escape. I ran as the headless chicken does. There is honour in standing your ground to fight a hopeless battle, but there is none in waiting in line to be sucked dry like a satsuma segment.

"professional, sure whatever. I'm justbhere to pass the time while a sailer is crewing my new ship. cult of the mummies. some followers tried to assinate me and bandy. that never works out well for those trying to assinate, not with your man goodie over there, did you even see him, stealthy as a lynx, fast as a whip. would have 10 arrows in you before you unsheath your sword."

'Aye, three. Did ye think I fired the arrows from me arse? I've been known to drop a pile sometimes but ne'er have I seen a dwarf sh1te arrows lass.

And I'm only lookin' in the room. Not goin' in unless the coast is clear.'

"Sir, with all the as you say ****e that comes out of your mouth, I simply assumed your arse had other uses. Ah, you must be the Ling I've heard about."
She bows at Goodie, then takes a look down the records hallway.

Ooc is it dark in here?

BandyLegs pears into the corridor to the East, at its end it has a room and also intersects a corridor running North-South.

The records hallway is dark, but enough to see a stone slab door lies at its end with a lever beside it.

Ash and Kim entered and Ash is fired up.

"I sick of taking a backseat, Mechanic or not, I'm looting too. Got my mace and everything!! Let's do it!"

Kyokuma leads in front of Kim, landing at a crouch, scabbard in one hand, hilt half drawn.
"Beast, stay thine ha- er... Stalks!

    Oh. It's you."

She dejectedly follows bandy down the Sensation corridor, mentally noting that she told them so, and to bring it up at her earliest convenience

Blades in the ceiling, stepping around them should prove no problem.

Bandylegs continues down the corridor avoiding the blades.

He calls back to warn the others to follow his steps.

Ekbard follows and casts detect evil.

He reaches the door at the end. To his left is a corridor leading North, to his right is one leading South.

"the sensation is pain. What a huge surprise. It couldn't have been fresh bedding or the feel of a warm bath on a cool day."
She grumbles more, but I'm on my phone, it's exhausting

Bandylegs checks the North corridor for traps, proceeds slowly towards the door.

"Bandy, do you have the ability to raise the dead? we could use that woman upstairs to pull that lever do the dangerous tasks like opening doors while we stand well back.

ooc: lever was in other room, opps, thought it was this one.

The room contains more shelves, scrolls and vases. The paint has long since pealed from the room leaving a dull brown.

Ekbard picks up a vase. Exits the room then throws the vase back into the room.

Bandylegs waits to see what the vase does then checks the room with his axe for any hidden entrances

An enormous explosion destroys the entire room, blowing out the side of the pyramid and exposing the desert outside. The evening sky looks beautiful.

The section containing the Southern corridor collapses as a large part of the Southern end of the pyramid collapses from the structural damage.

'Oook... back down the other way?'

Bandylegs heads back to the main room, dodging the blades again and checks the Records corridor for traps. Proceeding slowly he examines the lever closely as well.
