Back to education allowance ( Means tested)

Hello I’m planning on going back to college in September. I’ve been working part time and claiming jobseekers benefit since November. If I continue to do this until September , I will meet the qualifying period to be able to claim the back to education allowance .
(Second level courses-3 months (78 paid or credited days of unemployment).
(Third level courses-9 months (234 paid or credited days of unemployment)
I’ve read confusing information stating that any means I have will be deducted from the maximum BTEA rate (€193). What exactly will social welfare be looking at when means testing the BTEA? Will my earnings from my part time job result in me getting a reduced BTEA rate?
