I'd say Newbridge is bang on the Kildare mid line Naas only a few km north of that .
Near Prosperous my self and a good wind after picking up the last half hour

I know this mightn’t be popular but by fcuk I’m sick of snow it’s virtually been here(hills of south Armagh ) for the past month in and off every day it’s a hassle getting in to work running kids here and there .
If I never see snow again it would be too soon
or dump the job and ' commitments ' and just enjoy the snow :D

Belmullet reporting 1C with moderate rain and a NE wind. Is this accurate?

I saw that too, it was sleet and westerly winds with 3 C the previous hour ... probably accurate, a meso-scale low has formed within the trough and this probably means an interval of heavy snow inland across Mayo, Sligo, Leitrim and west Ulster as this feature tracks east. There was some suggestion on other guidance of a similar feature forming near Kilkenny-Carlow later on and bringing a heavy snowfall to higher parts of Wicklow and north Wexford. Having a closer look at all this now for a forecast update perhaps.

Cold air behind the front, hopefully the showers behind it will kick in before dawn

Serious rain here in Galway. I hope you get the cold back east to turn it to white gold.

Meanwhile, in REAL North Kildare, a couple of KM from the Meath border, temperatures have also been rising but not so much. 4.1c here. Although Naas may be constitutionally North Kildare, I think it would be fair to say that we'd prefer to stick to geographical locations here.

My postal address is Meath yet I'm geographically in Kildare but I'm not going to confuse Boardsies by saying I'm in South Meath!

Gusts getting very strong in N Kildare now. They seem to come out of nowhere and then calm down for about 5 mins and then another one comes along and hits the house!

The met eireann radar just isn't fit for purpose since they changed colour scheme to basically all blue!
It does not reflect the intensity at all
It bucketing down but radar shows what should be very very light rain
Looking around the whole country but reports showing much higher
Why can't they go back to original scheme or the one they post on twitter

Agreed, the colour scale on their twitter radar screenshots is much more useful and it includes Belfast radar coverage too (and some other UK western Britain radars).

    A real shame. :o

Temperatures increased here in south Laois since 6pm when it was 3.3c up to 5.4c presently. Light rain and breezy. Top gust of 38mph here a few minutes ago (so not gale force yet by 1mph) and it's at 10m standard height.
