Snow shovels tomorrow for the east. This isn't a five minute hail and tiny snowflake shower. It's chucking it down snow.

    Whereabouts exactly pnpweirdo ???

Also report lashing rain replaced by heavy snow - mid Limerick. Not settling (yet) on sodden ground. (Although some of the previous lying snow somehow survived the downpour). Looks good for you guys in the East.

We will probably end up with the same to be honest. Nothing much better than that. 6c here.

I need a small violin to go with that shovel. Still sleet and not snow

There is a really sharp temperature gradient with this so I wouldn't be concerned at all with higher temperatures to the east of the front.

We've lost a lot of great posters down throughout the years. Maq as mentioned, and others who us 'veterans' might remember, such as 'Snowbie' & 'Harps' to name but a few.

    ;)

Snowbie left to start IWN, I used to post on it for years though it got very quiet a few years back, used to be a great resource when the map was working

Back here, wind has really picked up now, interesting variation at the moment with stations in the west almost flat calm yet violent storm force gusts on the south coast

Ginormous drops of rain have been pelting down on the West for the past 4 hours. No sign of a snowflake:D.

Driveway covered. We've done well here in the mid-west from this cold snap, hope you guys finally see something worthwhile.

Quite an active front setting up over Ireland at the moment. That will be interesting to watch as a squall develops. Undercutting air behind won’t be enough.
Far too much of a southerly draw is in ahead of the front.

South of you to you via north Tipp currently wouldn’t be a bad southerly draw snow wise..

If temps had dropped an hour ago we'd have 3 inches by now. But of course there always has to be a deluge before it turns white.
