If this is an issue at all, which I'm not sure that it is, I doubt the "but they open up some part of the facility" is a defence.

It would be like a golf club banning women from playing but saying they can have a GnT in the clubhouse so they are not discriminating.

Could easily be that way, that's what I put that 'legal advice thing down to. Unless they never considered that.

Wonder what'll happen if Cork got to the Europa League, or will they have to travel to Tallaght/Landsdowne

If the reports are true that the EU ruled it must be opened to other sports, it’s not up to the GAA unless they want to send back the cheque.

You keep saying this yet you've posted nothing to actually back it up

So it's some kids from Millers old GAA club playing at half time now. Hopefully that's not too hard to stomach for everyone.

Any truth in the rumour it'll be referred to as O'Keeffe Park for the day of the game?

Here is the European Commission's decision on Páirc Uí Chaoimh and state-aid that people are referencing as the GAA potentially breaching EU law. The relevant paragraphs include paragraphs 23-25.

McDowell Purcell, a top-20 law firm, wrote an article on the topic, stating that it was clear that the aid was given on the basis that it was rented out to other field sports and that Rule 42 (Rule 5.1) would appear to conflict with the Commission's decision.

This is all down to begrudgery again and adding 1+1 and getting 1000000.

First when this game was announced as a fundraiser for the family it was decried as Miller had to be a multi millionaire. When it became apparent this wasnt the case it had to be gambling. Fúck off.
