Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Anyone got a jersey framed lately and any ball park prices/recommendations on where to get it done? I have a few jerseys which need framing.
Didn’t think it would be as expensive as it seems to be.
Searched for threads on it, going back a few years now , anyone recent?
    Thanks

Would give it a go myself if I thought I could make it look decent,
    Anyone framed one themselves?
And if you bought an ikea frame , which one would anyone recommend?

Looks straightforward enough here. Also shows the type of frame you will need.

I used to work in a picture framers and everybody was surprised at the prices. It's all down to sizes and jerseys are quite large if you want to show the whole thing, and especially if you want it done properly. Most places that offer it cheaper will half-arse it and won't spend as much time on it, it's a tricky job and needs time to get right.

The high prices are because of the size of the frame, the glass, the mount boards, the fixing and finishing materials and the time it takes. There's really no way around it if you want it done to a high standard.

Thanks for the info, what would you say is a decent/fair price for a signed soccer jersey to be framed ? Just so I know when shopping around, I agree with you , would prefer to get them done properly, but also fair pricing.

Our average (fair from our point of view) prices were between €90-€120 depending on how it was displayed. You can fold the arms in and/or fold up the bottom quarter to save some space and reduce the cost, but sometimes that not possible if it has autographs all over it. Experiment with it yourself and take a photo of it before you bring it somewhere so you can tell them how you'd like it, display area, frame type, mount colour etc. The more information you give them the better. Ask them if they have any previous photos of jerseys they've framed in the past to see if you're happy with their work.

It's expensive, so make sure you're happy before paying anything. I can't count how many times people brought framed jerseys (and everything else, really) into us, that they bought somewhere else, to fix or re-frame.
