    Looking at it full screen and framing through (use , and .) she doesn't even turn her head to look at oncoming traffic, so I don't think she assumed anything as she never even saw Doltanian. As far as I can see, from 0:05 (before Doltanian even enters the roundabout) to 0:09 her gaze is fixed forward. She was coming out in front of Doltanian no matter what lane they were in.

    Well bless the resolution on your screen! I don't think the video has sufficient resolution to make that determination.

    I'd say the runners either have rego or were drinking.

    Rego is a thing in OZ which you can purchase cheaper than insurance but you are liable for all costs if you crash.

    Drink driving is pretty big there too

    It's possible he moved over a second before OP and floored it. This happens a lot in Lucan driving towards Woodies going left onto the N4 westbound or the next left to Lucan village, People cut into the bus lane and floor it when there's cars waiting to change lanes legally.

    Yeah, I saw her coming a mile away sitting in the Bus lane. She wasn't going too fast, once I started indicating and moved into that stupid lane setup, she floored it to undertake as Davey said.
