you can't legally pass a cyclist where there is a solid line like that and they are entitled to their half of the road however many there are. Patience is a virtue.

I'm not one to bash or berate cyclist:: And with over 20yrs driving experience and 100s of thousands of miles on the road..... well I found this behaviour totally unacceptable and downright disrespectful.

You'd prefer that they were single file so that you could pass them out without crossing the white line, and thus only giving them a few inches (if even that) between your wing mirror and their handlebars? Yeah, I found the cyclists annoying as fcuk, but know well why they do so.

Cannot undertake a car unless they are turning right and it is safe to do so, neither of which apply in this situation.

    Or in slow moving traffic.

    Looks like entrapment to me!
That was a very blatant undertake, looks like he jumped into the bus lane and floored it, so was almost certainly speeding as well.

Lots of opportunity for the car to overtake those cyclists, but it appears the driver was either:

A: being RESPECTFUL to the cyclists and waited patiently until it was safe to overtake.

    or

B: Was not aware that it's legal to cross a solid white line to overtake cyclists (when safe to do do and there were plenty of opportunities for he/she to overtake).

we're going to need a link to the legislation for that second one.

Don't we have like 2 threads about this every year?

Anyway here's a video of cops chasing someone in heavy traffic - some tidy driving

Looks like the cars were already leaving a gap from the start of the video, is their context missing?

Also illustrates why you should look to see where the cops are *before* blindly pulling over to one side, a few close calls there.

Just curious, do cars like that actually get fixed or sent back to factory?

I can understand for small damage but I'd be pissed to accept one of those

They would most likely be written off.

It all depends on where damage is and how bad

Judging by the speed they left the trailer, as Punisher says, written off but probably sent to dealers or back to the factory for salvage.

Which leads to my next question...Who pays?

The garage, The manufacturer, The Transportation Company, Insurance of whoever caused the accident?

If they can claim off person to blame yes, if truck company is at fault it would be their insurance and then it depends what their contract is or whether it's the car company is in control then it could be written off or claimed for.

That's a 24 hour bus lane and 60kph limit. You often get impatient **** bombing up the bus lane there.
