Is that not a roundabout? So the cammer should have slowed and not tried to drive into him?

Exactly. You can tell whats happening a mile away, no need to stress out, just wait 2 seconds.

The thinking hat needs to be in full swing for this, seeing as the new architecture of the roundabout will confuse the General Motorist and give them trousers from Brownstown in the incident above

There is a reason i didnt post that one.

    oh man! :(
Knowing that makes its so tragic for everyone involved.
Hope they were talked out of it.

why didn't he slow down when it was happening, very close to gene taken out of it and i'd be surprised if there wasn't a bit of contact

but after that.... to keep ploughing on, i really don't understand why anyone wouldn't stop after that

The cammer has a death wish. Didn't slow down for the initial collision and didn't even slow down where the other truck was in the ditch.

    No honour amongst truckers.

He had to have known something wasn't right.

    My very first dashcam upload!

Nothing major. Just a dawdley driver in the Polo (in front of Merc) who braked at every corner, slowing down to 50 for no reason, then as they're going through a crossroads, just sail through without stopping! Very lucky

Still need to sort out video quality and reflections.

Comparing signage at the off ramp in the article photo of the truck stopped, to the signage of the off ramp in the video, makes me believe that the truck went on a decent bit before being stopped. Madness!

Very kind Swords Express bus driver cuts me off, and gives me the FINGER. Such a luvely c*nt.

Send it in to the company - they'll want to know what their drivers are up to.

I did on both fb and twitter, they engaged in fb and said they'll investigate further (or something).

I'm guessing they did it on purpose, looks like it might be their normal "shortcut" home.

  • Registered Users Posts: 552 ✭✭✭Carraig Fhearghais

I'd guess they were visitors/tourists (who normally drive on the right) and heading for the B&B.

In all fairness he did move back for you :) Not for the biker, though.

How did he end up there is different story.

Had a few on m7 and m8 last weekend. Some take ages to move over, so I moved over instead :(

The video doesn't do justice to the speed the bike was doing, honestly expected to come across a bad accident down the road after.

True, they did move over but they were in that lane for a long time, baffling

    hardly
a lot of morons do it and really think they are doing the right thing

hard an argument with a girl in work who only drives in the middle land of m50 because she thinks it is safer

problem with these people is they really think they are doing nothing wrong

A biker was overtaking on the hard shoulder at right hand side of motorway just last week. Couldn't believe it. They just do it.

The road has parking on both sides can't see anything wrong there.

You had space to stay in.

So i'm free to drive down the middle of the road with no hesitation while staring at my phone? Oh right.
