Starter CCTV? Worth it?

    Ok so I have done a number of jobs around the house to increase security.

    next I was looking at CCTV. The previous owner has cable etc running to a number of spots in house and a big collection of cables in hot press but I would guess it is going to cost more to set that system back up again

    I know starting at pigsback is probably not ideal but would it do for starter kit? mostly for wife at nighttime when I am not around.....build up from there....

    Or am I wasting my money with a system like that? Thakns
