Moving home with my Thai wife; advice appreciated!

    Hi all,


    I am 28 and have been working in Thailand for 4 years. After only 6 months there I met someone, fell in love and we will be marrying soon. We are starting to make plans to move to Ireland in 2019 and hopefully both stay there for a few years.


    Trying to research visa information online gives me a headache! We would love to get some advice from people who have undertaken a similar move. Has anyone moved back to Ireland with their Thai wife (or other non EU national)? Can you put me in contact with someone who has?


    We would love to talk about the visa application process, how my partner can prepare for such a big move and hopefully make connections with the Thai community in Ireland.


    Any advice or suggestions would be much appreciated. Khob khun khrap!

    Any updates? I have a wife and 2 kids that I'd like to bring back to Ireland, did you manage to go back alright?
