Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hi, I am looking through old wills at the minute and I’m coming across a lot of statements as such, “To X,Y,Z...I bequeath my plate”....does ‘plate’ happen to mean silver, as in sterling silver? The wills I’m researching are those of the landed families so I don’t expect there to be much, if any, actual silver plate items. Hence I’m wondering if ‘plate’ here refers to sterling silverware. Thanks
