FIFA 18 - Season 23 Fixtures and Results

This thread is for the weekly fixtures and results for the coming season of the league ONLY all other posts will be deleted. Use the league banter thread for any chat.

Players are only to play those fixtures listed for the current week - you do not play games in advance unless you have got permission from us via PM due to going on holidays or another reason.

We will be monitoring the number of games played and players found to be falling behind after a number of weeks will be removed from the league.

You are expected to play the 2/3 fixtures assigned each week - if you can't play them all catch up the next week but it should not fall behind any further than that.

The results need to be posted by one or both of the players on here and the other give thanks to it. Ideally you both post, don't just leave it expecting the other person to do it.

The league as per the rules is to be played in a sporting manner.

It goes without saying that things like blocking kickout by the keeper or time wasting passing it around the back four aren't tolerated.

The league is always much better when played in a proper sporting manner and played for fun.

And remember, it's only a game

(Damok21) Juventus 3 - 1 Real Madrid (dufflecoatsunrise )

Real Madrid took an early lead after a wonderful solo run and finish from Benzema. Dybala equalised shortly after and then higuain scored to give juventus a 2-1 advantage at half time. Real Madrid took control early in the second half and but for a few good blocks and some great goalkeeping would have equalised. Higuain sealed the win late on after a quick counter attack. Really good game that was end to end, well played dufflecoat

Quite a drubbing this was, had a lot of chances early on but couldn’t take them. He picked me off easily as the game went on, Start as you mean to go on comes to mind.

Dominated possession but was absolutely incapable of breaking down his defence. Went 2-0 but one was a rebound goal and the other a screamer by Lallana. He created much better chances and got a well deserved equaliser with the last kick.

Liverpool (septicmutant) 4-3 PSG (Giggsy_15)

I was behind 3 times in this game and only went ahead in the 90th min. His keeper gifted me a goal playing straight to my striker to level it up at 3 all. I had a tonne of shots in the first half but couldn't seem to score, second half he was cutting through me.

One thing I will say is this season is gonna be fun, Liverpool have no midfield and aren't great at defending. Good up top though, very realistic

Shoddy defending throughout for me. Went for the draw and got caught on the break in the last minute.

He created twice the amount of chances as me and had two penalties saved, so a well deserved win for him. City's defence is like swiss cheese.

What a game of Fifa this was, I was losing 2-0 in the 70th and getting absolutely dominated but then one of the most blatant momentum’s shifts I’ve ever seen in the game took place. I scored 4 goals in quick succession all from weird errors from the computer like the goalkeeper letting the ball roll straight back to me and his defenders moving out of the way of my shot.

Definitely not a deserved victory but GG.

I got off to a blistering start in this one. Wijnaldum of all people with a hattrick inside 12 mins. Couldn't stop scoring in the first 20 mins but a change of tactics meant I couldn't seem to break him down. Second half I was pegged back a bit and he hit two goals which could have been more. Gg

Had only 4 shots in this.
I was dominated most of the time, but could bite when found a small chance.

Dzeko is the worst 84 striker in the game.

Will need to do few changes to the lineup, Florenzi should do well as RW instead of RB.

Great game this. Barca took a two goal lead through Pique and Roberto but Kane pulled one back on the stroke of half time!

Barca re-established their two goal lead on 51 minutes when Lloris gathered a cross but then inexplicably threw it straight to Messi on the penalty spot!! Two minutes later, Ericksen got in at the back post to nod in a Rose cross only for Suarez to outpace the Spurs defence to seemingly put the game to bed at 4-2. However, Spurs weren’t finished and again two minutes later Kane volleyed home to make it 4-3 and on 87 minutes Dembele smashed home form the edge of the box after a corner routine! 4-4!!!

end to end start with both of us scoring early on but i went 6-1 up after about 35 mins.. wasn't expecting it all just 1 of those days everything clicked.. well played scoreline was a bit harsh

Well beaten in this game - I couldn’t make much of an impact. Was better than my performance against Liverpool but still no joy. Juve look favourites on results so far

Hard fought game but relieved to get my first win on the board. Dembele and Kane gave me a 2-0 lead before Morata halved the deficit on 58 mins.

Was quite lucky to survive in second half as Chelsea had a few good chances.

Real end to end game this one, got ahead early and held it to just before half time when he scored. Second half was cagey and I won a peno in 80th min, from the tip off he equalised straight away. Then with pretty much the last I attack I got the winner. Enjoyable game
