ITV must have loads of money. Beat the chaser and now this again :D Why don't we any good shows like this in Ireland? And i don't mean like Winning streak :pac:

With an audience? Can't see how they can. Unless it was filmed months ago.

Looks like virgin media won't be showing this and instead have a repeat tonight and gogglebox repeats scheduled for tomorrow ☹️

You can watch it on the ITV Hub, either with a VPN or you can sign up for a free trial to watch from within the EU.

How come this isnt even on the ITV schedule on their website and Ive seen no ads for it or anything on UTV or ITV?

Yes it's a bit odd alright. ITV's TV guide had "London's Pollen Count" (or something like that) listed for it's time slot.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 18,074 ✭✭✭✭Thargor

Yeah they're paying Jeremy Clarksons wages while he's handing out hundreds of grand, not cheap by any stretch and nobody knows about it, very strange.

Well spotted VG31. I didn't know ITV's earlier schedule on the website was a bit muddled up this evening.

Here's how it went on ITV London from 6:30pm to WWBTAM ending at 8:15pm.

    6:30pm - ITV Evening News & Weather
    6:50pm - ITV London News & Weather/Pollen Count
7pm - Prime Ministerial Broadcast from Boris Johnson on Coronavirus (pre-recorded)
7:15pm - WWBTAM with Jeremy Clarkson

    Edit:

I did see one promo for it on ITV earlier. The £1 million question is being asked again in this series. It could be very exciting times to see this if ITV is on in your house.

The next episode of WWBTAM will return on ITV at 9pm tomorrow night & for the remainder of this new series.

It is actually listed on the guide on the site, someone just mixed it up with the pollen count & put them in the wrong timeslots.

On the trailer, Clarkson is bigging up this series also, saying it has one of the great TV moments that you'll remember where you were.

After last night the only way is up. A couple on twitter looking for the 1st contestant to be given another go because of the release dates being different in the UK

I've just watched my recording of Van der Valk that was on Sunday 3rd May and there was a promo for this series on during one of the ad breaks.

Were there any spoilers as to what happened?? Or did they manage to keep it under wraps?

(I don't want the spoiler if there is one!)

Id say Le Mans, Le Mans is ancient. I wouldn't chance it though.

Fantastic player to be honest.. tough luck with that final question but you'd need to be sure.

He's good, very good, good luck to him and his family. The questions weren't savagely hard. The question last night about which of the four major mens tennis tournaments had the most different winners since 2000, was a brutal question? Jeremy a tennis fan didn't know and I'd say C J of the Eggeheads, another big tennis fan would have been in trouble too.
The Beethoven question and the TT questions I believe I've heard before in quizzes. Now, I wouldn't have risked my memory of those, on any serious money.
    Best of luck to him.

Yeah that was a ridiculous question, only total obsessives who memorize sport almanacs for fun would have known it, crazy for 64k.

Cant be French and doubt Wimbledon as they're quite specialised surfaces. So Australian final answer (though could easily be US!).

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,808 ✭✭✭✭Water John

how could ask a, 'phone a friend' and get an answer in 30 seconds?
You do also, besides a good quiz knowledge need luck. The poor fellow using all his four lifelines on one question.

Yeah US or Australian as you said.
I'd imagine its the US Open ,there have been a good few winners but I would need a good bit of time to tot there and Melbourne up.

Well, I'd have pissed away a load of money on that million Q, I was deathly confident it was Indy. Knew Monaco and Le Mans started after the war (in my head Monaco was 30's and Le Mans was 40's); but in my mind I thought the TT was towards the later end of the 10's or into the early 20's, thus leaving Indy in 1911.

Wow. Tonight's episode left me lost for words. What an amazing contestant to have on the show.

And Jeremy's little joke about the electric vehicles in the end nearly left me in stitches. It was brilliantly timed.

That Beethoven question was on WWTBAM? before. I knew it because I watched it the other day!

Very strange that they would rehash that question especially as Ingram was such a famous winner.
I was wondering how I knew the answer .
The options this time were much easier too .

I noticed that the questions a lot more difficult. It's a bit like they have used up most of the budget. There was a few tricky questions.

Ones like the rap artist with most number 1s are going to be a guess for almost anybody including fans of rap music. Have noticed a few questions of similar type in this series.

Oooh. Wow. She was going to do so well there. Shame that she went too soon.

I hope she enjoys her money.

Very brave crop of contestants this time round, seems like theres more failed punts being taken this time than all the previous Clarkson seasons put together.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 18,074 ✭✭✭✭Thargor

    Another one...

And he knew the answer aswell, that was a massive song at the time:

From the few episodes I've seen of this series ,the questions seem easier than normal ,especially the lower value ones .
Then they throw in some vicious questions around 32k or 64k.

What was the question for 16k, answer sounded like Mikowski? She sounded like she knew the answer instantly. (I only heard the answer from the kitchen!)

I was sure she was going to go for Budapest for the last one!

I thought that, but I wouldn't have bet against ther awful dirge from Les Mis being the answer either! If it had been a few guess I'd have gone for it, but not for that kind of money!

I thought you were allowed 2 friends? She clearly doesn't have much faith in her other one, only ever mentioned the Dad!!
