Getting sparky to price newbuild for electrical work next week. He has asked me to have kitchen plan in order to see where sockets and plugs will go along with separate plugs for dishwasher, hob ,fridge etc.

Know don't have to select exact kitchen type but wondering do kitchen suppliers provide plans without you paying a deposit thus giving them a guarantee you will be using their services.

Might be easier to work out what you want electrical wise. Hob and oven will probably need separate feeds and isolator switches. Appliances where you can't access the plug easily need isolators. Allow for kitchen lights to be turned on and off from a switch. Allow for plenty of sockets and work out where you want your kettle and toaster.

Where are you based? You can make an appointment with Ikea for a kitchen plan without any commitment.

Every kitchen supplier will draft plans, issue drawings and prices FOC while seeking your business. Just phone ahead and make an appointment.

In my experience most kitchen places will only give out scaled drawings with measurements after a deposit is paid. Well worth going around to a few kitchen designers and see wot dey can do den weigh up pros and cons, pay deposit and electrically design around your kitchen drawings
