    Reed guffaws at Thorn retreating.

'I'm not gonna hit yuh boy! I just want to...be discreet.'

He sidles up to Thorn and flashes the gold from his brass knuckles at Thorn quickly then makes it disappear under his duster again.

'See. Trouble. Not for you! But if they see me with it...'

    Reed guffaws again.

'Real gang? Ayuh, rustlin' varmints and humpin' cattle.'

Reed reveals his right hand with the brass knuckles and brandishes it in his face.

'I'll break yer jaw if yuh don't sit down. Fukin' sissy.'

Thornbury closes his eyes for what feels like minutes, though to others it is but a blink.

He stands in a Wasteland with an enormous spider like being in front of him.

"Come to play again Thornbury, let us see"

Once more Thornbury bests the beast.

    "You'll lose badly eventually"

He opens his eyes, the demons power with some of his own causes a hex to come over Thornbury, folks just can't seem to look at him straight.

Boys I'll take this joker, ye take that witch over there"

OOC: Curly and his four lackeys attack George and Lysette. Thornbury and Silas free to join in the ruckus.

The entire bar rumbles as shadows wave about and a sinister laughter is heard throughout.

Curly just grimaces while three of his crew run screaming out of the bar. One is shaking a bit, but Curly glares at him and he remains.

Thornbury just smirks, dancing shadows? He's seen demons.

Silas, bizarrely is excited by all this.
OOC: Silas has +2 all rolls for a while

George begins to quiver, but clenches his fists hard and powers on through, just some magic, seen stuff like this before.

With his men after hightailing it, Curly doesn't want to tangle with possible magic users, he looks around.

"Good joke hahahahahaha" the bar nervously laughs with him "these are good fellers, a round of drinks for my friends here"

Lysette pats his arm and gives him back his chair, then sits cross-legged on the floor

He takes the chair nodding at Lysette. "Thank ya Mam"

    He turns to George.

"Look, I wuz tryin' to keep things clam, ye want to take it outside boy?"

A voice comes from the saloon doors.

    "That won't be necessary Curly"

The city marshall Virgil Earp and his brother Wyat Earp stand in the entrance. With a third man behind them.

Wyatt places a hand on George.

    "Relax friend"

Reed wheels round and sees the martial and suddenly goes quiet.

'Ayuh. Sorry, lost muh temper. Happens sometimes.'

He backs off and shuffles to one of the corners, obscuring his face as much as he can.

The Wyatt brothers smile at each other.

"Now isn't this nice, all peaceful." says Virgil

    OOC: The Earps are historical.

Silas studies the two men, though he was never one for fighting he somehow gets the clear sense that these men are not to be trifled with.

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 52,303 Mod ✭✭✭✭Necro

Reed is in the corner with his entire face nearly under his duster muttering to himself.

'Yuh done did it again George... why can't yuh leave trouble well alone?'

He gets up and mutters his apologies and walks outside the saloon. He lights a cigar and sits by the water trough.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,558 ✭✭✭✭Fourier

The third man walks over to Reed.

"Hello good sir, surely you'll stay, we have need of some men"

Thornbury gets a strange feeling from the third man.

    Reed puffs on his cigar.

'And what do yuh have need for me? I'm just passin' through.'

Reed cocks his thumb back towards the saloon.

'They be lawmen right? Lawmen and ol' George Edlington don't mix, no sirree. If they ain't here to take me in, mayhap I'll listen to yuh. Otherwise, it's splitsville for this cowboy.'

    Reed sighs.

'Okay. but if yuh don't mind I'll hang by the saloon doors just in case. I'm cautious like that, yes sir I am.'

Reed gets up and follows the man back to the saloon. He leans against the wall by the door in case he needs to make a quick exit.

Back in the saloon Virgil Earp speaks up.

"As you all know I've been Marshall here for about five months now and the peace seems to be being kept, thanks to my brother and his friend and no thanks to others" he gestures at curly.

"However, there was a mighty decent man who kept the peace before us. I'm a fixin' to find that man, who has since gone missing. Can't do it myself as of yet, but I got $300 for any group willing to go out and get him"

He finishes his cigar and crushes it under his heel.
