Does subsistence payments count as nett income when it comes to thresholds on social housing. I have looked everywhere and can't find an answer.if it does i will be over the threshold and not take it even though I need it to cover my expenses. No. As long as they're kosher (i.e. not just a way of paying you part of your wages without tax/PRSI/USC) and the amounts being paid are in line with the public service travel and subsistence rates then you have nothing to worry about.
