    Hi,

I hope mods don't mind me promoting my local race :pac: This year will be the 45th Tubbercurry 10km. It's probably one of the longest running races in west and as always it will be on St Patrick's day March 17th with a 12 noon start. It's a fairly challenging course to be fair but it always attracts fast local runners with wining times normally around 32 minutes, although the course record is held by Swansea Harriers Mark Morgan in a time of 30.11

The race is known for its hospitality with a excellent spread afterwards. Hope to see some of you on St Patrick's day. I'll post more details at later date.

Hi guys, anyone who wishes to register can do so here

    https://www.njuko.net/tubbercurry10km2018/select_competition

We've brought the price down from €20 to €15 this year. Also this will be the first of six races of the Sligo road race league which had stopped the past few years. There will be more information posted on the club's Facebook page over the next few weeks.

Sligo based Donore Harriers John Travers was the winner of the 10km in 31:36 in very windy but dry conditions. Jake O'Regan of St John's A.C. in Clare who is coached by Dermot McDermott was second. Young athlete with a great future ahead of him in a time of 32:51. 3rd was another Donore Harriers athlete Rossa Hurley McCarrick in a time of 33:07.
First female Teresa Doherthy of Finn Valley in a time of 35:49. Second was local woman of our good neighbours Corran A.C. just up the road Sara Doohan 38.24. And 3rd was North Sligo AC Heather Foley 38.43.
Great day out bar the wind but better conditions then last year and great to see not just local club's supporting our race but club's from all over the country too. Thanks very much to anyone here who raced today in our 45th 10km and our 5km fun run too.
