Midleton very rare 1984

My folks have a bottle of Midleton Very Rare 1984 that they got years ago as a present. They aren’t whiskey drinkers and never opened it. It has the box, cert etc.

Someone told them recently it’d be worth trying to sell it - wondering if anyone here has ever done that? They tried Celtic Whiskey who said they could give about €500 but that they’d be better off selling elsewhere. Not sure where else to look though!

Have tried whiskey.auction (who seem connected to The Whiskey Exchange) - I messaged them and they said ballpark of 1k but not sure if they’re ‘above board’.

If anyone has any suggestions I’d be grateful!

The last one I've seen on sale there was for 1200

Hi, I’m afraid I don’t have it any more. We sold it already (for €1,300)!
