    Hi minzabud,

The Project Primary is a fantastic turntable and would pair well with the AS201 (all Project turntables need a Phono Stage which the 201 has). If you can stretch the budget a little I would recommend the Project Essential 3 at £239. This has an upgraded cartridge, the Ortofon OM10e which is a big jump in sound quality.

Let me know what you think.

    Kind regards

    David

Thanks for the reply, is the main difference the cartridge? I am coming up from the audio technica cartridge on your site so the Ortofon om5e should be a big improvement.

I am looking at replacing the speakers later this year also, how would the Cambridge sx80 floorstanders fit in with this setup?

    Hi Minzabud.

The OM5e would be a very good upgrade over the Audio Technica and the 10 that is on the Essential 3 even better again.

You could pair in the SX80 with this setup with no issues and they would sound very good indeed.

The SX80 are currently priced at £299.00 - I could offer a pair a £275 along with a turntable and amplitier.
