Homebrew 2-vessel setup

    Hi folks,
I have been home brewing with a friend for a while and am going to invest in my own equipment.
I'm looking at a two-vessel system - a combined HLT/Boil kettle and a mash/lauter tun (false bottom type). The process I imagine is heating strike water in kettle then transferring to mash tun. Then transfer sparge water from kettle. Then empty the kettle and lauter from the lauter/mash tun back into the kettle for boiling.
However, when I read into two-vessel setups, it seems most people combine the boil kettle and mash tun meaning that they have to transfer the mash to a separate vessel for lautering, which seems to me to be more awkward. What am I missing?
