Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

First decent bit of play all game

Very scrappy. Think it was always expected to be like that in the away leg.

De Gea - best in the world.

    Save of our season

Why are United playing short corners when they've a significant height advantage out there.

    Appalling miss by Sevilla.

De Gea is as important to the United team as Suarez was to Rodger's Liverpool.

United should build a gold statue of De Gea outside Old Trafford. Without him well...

That's an appalling excuse for a finish. Amazing save too

Where would be without that man. Outrageous saves.

    We are awful though.

Game being played almost entirely in Man Utd’s half

Ya it's all about the miss for me. He should never have given him a chance.

It will happen I suspect. As long as we get a great outfield player in return.
What I can be confident in saying we have a great number 2 in Romero.

    De Gea is infuriatingly good

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,081 ✭✭✭Fromvert

Sevilla playing better than I thought they would and United not as good. De Gea doing De Gea things but Muriel has to bury that, you head it down!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,018 ✭✭✭Bridge93

United should be delighted with that score. Could easily be two or three behind already. Can sort themselves up now and no damage done

Wouldn't have "missed" it if either Karius or Mignolet was standing there.
In fact he wouldn't have missed it if they were both standing there.

David de gea could save the fcuking titanic

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,315 ✭✭✭Sam Hain

United are septic. Devoid of any invention or enterprise. Grim viewing. That last Seville header is as much a shocking miss as it is a great save.

    Absolutely.

He's wasted at Utd. Needs to be at a club challenging for top trophies.

Surprised Ever Banega never got his transfer to a genuinely top side. Possibly injuries at the wrong time haulted a big move.

Had almost 100 more passes than any other player in the group stages this season. Such a lovely player to watch.

It was his attitude that held him back.

He was incredible for Valencia for a spell, only behind Xavi and Iniesta in the league imo, but controversy followed him everywhere. Caught jerking off live on webcam, constant partying, crashed his car drunk, injured himself by running over his foot with his car...

He's a brilliant talent though, and seems to have matured in recent years.

Ben Yedder will surely come on.

Classic de Gea. Should've dealt with Young's loose pass 30 seconds earlier, but then pulls an absolute worldie out of the bag. I know the striker shouldn't have given him a chance, but 99% of keepers wouldn't have had a chance with that.

When the ABUs are getting increasingly irritated it tells you that the half has been pretty satisfactory.

Aside from the last few minutes Sevilla didn't put United under a great deal of pressure. If Sevilla don't score they're in big trouble as their away record isn't impressive.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,478 ✭✭✭chalkitdown1

This game is absolute muck as is United's performance. Thank fùck for De Gea.

who do you support if you don’t mind me asking? Your first sentence is a bit odd because I got the impression you supported someone else from your posts or you just don’t support a specific team in general

If that makes you feel better then fair enough but I don't think many people are getting irritated at all just pointing out Utd have been pretty poor so far.

Yeah I think he was actually strongly linked with United before that ridiculous car incident. Surprised he still in his 20's, seems like he's been about for an eternity.

Ddg what a keeper. Week in week out he pulls off incredible saves. Matic after an impressive start to his utd career is starting to struggle a bit of late. Not surprising as he has played practically every game.

Amazing the amount of people in here who complain about not enjoying doing something but still do it. Nobody's forcing you to watch "dull" United.

Jesus, Brady didn’t hold back on Mourinho there.

They are playing ok, trying to play anyway.
