Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

How much have Manchester Utd spent on this team?

    Good lord

    Absolutely.

He's wasted at Utd. Needs to be at a club challenging for top trophies.

He won't be heading to Merseyside anytime soon so.

Might be before the end of the season if United and Liverpool make it through to the next round and are drawn together.

How is that not a yellow.

United just so negative, performance really is typical Mourinho.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,332 ✭✭✭Always Be Closing

    Classic Jose Mourinho this

    Anti football

  • Good play from Utd

Should have been yellow for that foul on Sanchez

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 32,023 ✭✭✭✭~Rebel~

That arm from Mctominay with no foul given looked exactly the same as what was done to Sanchez in the first half.

  • Never a foul

    Mctominey clearly controlled the ball

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,576 ✭✭✭deaddonkey15

How on earth is that a foul against McTominay?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 45,630 ✭✭✭✭Mr.Nice Guy

Everything going satisfactorily after 60 minutes. Sevilla restricted to hopeful long range efforts. Liverpool had conceded two goals at this same stage.

  • Valencia should have possibly seen yellow there too

    Ref isn't great

True, Liverpools defence is dreadful so not that surprising. I think people tend to forget this team hasn't been beaten in 36 games at home bar City I think

Open to correction on that stat

    Had also scored 3 mind.

Referee is poor , that much is obvious.

Seville very good at defending as a unit but United nowhere close to engineering the class or guile to break them down...dangerous.

    Sevilla’s finishing is turgid

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 18,179 ✭✭✭✭sligeach

Sevilla deserve to be ahead, only poor finishing from them is keeping this at 0-0.

Well in fairness they had scored 3 themselves by that stage so were still wining

Ref forgot his cards in the dressing room.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 32,023 ✭✭✭✭~Rebel~

The other Seville players just watching Correa dance through... a guy out at the edge of the box on the far side doesn't even bother making a far post run to give an easier option so Correa wouldn't have to try to shoot.

  • Great work from Lukaku

    Our midfield is totally MIA

And came away with a 3-3 draw in the end. And drew 2-2 at home. That would suggest Klopp's tactics aren't the best strategy to adopt against Sevilla.

Think a United player would have to foul Sanchez to get one.

They'd be through with those results in fairness

Ref is very whistle-happy tonight. The game is so scrappy.

It's easier for them if facing **** keepers tbf

I can see why they have scored earlier in he CL group stages

Well 3-3 would be a better result for Utd than 0-0 tonight would it not?

It's hard enough to say someone deserves to be ahead if they can't finish though. All in all, a draw is a fair enough result from a poor game really. pretty much all going according to plan for Utd... a tight defensive draw away, and then probably a 1 or 2 nil win at home in a few weeks.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,150 ✭✭✭✭LuckyGent88

Awful choice of pass from Lukaku. Mctominay in acres of space for the simple ball

Still topped the group and just hammered Porto last week so virtually through to the next round so obviously his tactics haven't been to bad?

Also if United matched the Liverpool results they'd go through.

It really just suggests that playing Moreno against Seville (or anyone) is not a good strategy.

Pogba looks like he has checked out at this club

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,259 ✭✭✭✭flazio

Right now, Seville look the more likely to score than United.

A draw here and beat them at Old Trafford would suit me more than hoping to squeeze through on away goals and living by the seat of our pants.

Lingard on for a worldie hopefully

This is ridiculous. Sevilla should have killed off this tie by now.

id nearly take 0-0 right now in fairness

    Jeysus, had to score there.

Seville are just killing themselves here.

I'd still prefer bringing an away goal back to Old Trafford, even if it meant a 2-1 loss on the night.

Sevilla seem to be playing within themselves here, ie don't want to conceded an away goal. I would fancy them at OT.
