Still lovely and sunny here in Cork

Yes, by far the sunniest it has been here since last week. The calm before the (snow) storm if things go as forecast.

Nice shower going on in the city center now

Can’t see this being too much of an issue. I spent two winters in Calgary, Canada. Now that was proper snow and cold weather. Up to a metre of snow, and temperatures down to -25. It didn’t stop me walking home from the pub with 10 pints of strong lager inside me. Think some folks here are getting into Bear Grylls mode – getting off on the idea of power cuts, self-sufficieny, food shortages, the country grinding to a halt, and all that sort of thing. I’ll be working every day this week, and my staff will be too.

Yeah I just can't wait for the Irish county councils to come out with their huge Fleet of snow clearing equipment. Just like Calgary.

dang, and there was I thinking I'd finally understood something on here

    Thanks Stephen.

We've had a real mix of showers here in Dublin city centre anyway. To me it doesn't look like an IOM shadow more so the winds. So far it looks like it's going as per forecasted

The Dublin mountains have disappeared from where I'm sitting, covered in cloud, looks like actual snow coming down now. In/around UCD.

Have to head to Galway from Dublin in the next hour, just as the party is starting!:(

Still, back tomorrow to (hopefully) get home and enjoy what should be a fairly epic couple of days. I'll bring supplies back....word has it that they still have bread out West.
