Blue sky now in Limerick City. Which is grand, as I have to cycle back out to UL shortly.

Secondary roads are going to be like ice rings later.

The showers in the Irish sea will only intensify later this evening with scattered thunderstorms popping up.

    Everything almost in place.

    Let the fun begin! :D

Yeah perfect for slow moving heavy showers to build and then drop snow over us :)

What's the chance of public transport being cancelled in Dublin tomorrow evening after five? Afraid of getting in ok in the morning and then getting stuck in Dublin.

Should I just take a leave day?

It’s chucking down snow here right now. Started about 1 minute ago and everything is turning white! It’s beautiful!

i'm sitting here in Rochestown looking across the river to the Glanmire area and it seems to be bucketing down snow there. Not a flake here. Kids going nuts seeing it so close but so far away.

Dublin Bus will be off as soon as a red warning is in place I was told by a driver today.

Weak front that passed over the east earlier has stayed intact and pepped up a little I think.

Very beefy shower approaching somewhere between south louth, meath and north dublin. Should give accumulating snow or graupel at least and its early days yet

There's a good few showers on it's way to Dublin now on the radar, finally

In fairness a lot more cloud cover coming now though.

    - Could easily see the buses gone from 3pm but I'm guessing.

because the country is not that small that it has to snow across everywhere at once?
