Be interesting to see if the Irish Sea suddenly comes alive later on. At the moment it's as dead as a dodo, no putting lipstick on it. Certainly disappointing, to put in perspective, all models have us under uppers now of at least -10. From a few weeks back if you saw today's actual synoptics in Future Island you'd say 'buried in snow' - yet there is not much bubblin'.

'Munster and Leinster expecting to get a lot of snow from Emma moving northwards gradually, blizzards are likely'! Blizzards she said!

The 15 mins we got in Dublin 12 was lovely. Impatiently waiting more more though...

Looks like it's starting to bubble now looking at the last few stills.

Actually a closer look at radar suggests a possibility now of a streamer off south isle of man, just a hint thus far

    Blizzards, she said blizzards!!!

    This is like Christmas.

Just booked work off for the next two days to avoid any potential stress going in and out.

    *waits for snow*

I think you picked the wrong two days, unless you were off on Friday anyway?

Beautiful! It's like a picture you would put on a postcard.

Going by the met prediction on the forecast just now it looks like Dublin might kick off sometime after 12

Newbridge completely covered, only just stopped but easily a cm down already

So can someone clarify that what we are seeing now (sporadic light snow with some areas completely unaffected) is not the extent of what Dublin is going to get?

    Haven't been following closely.

Just drove through Ruan North of Ennis.
Plenty of foundation covering there, looks odd in the brighter evenings, compared to snow in the depths of winter.

It looks wrong, akin to Christmas decorations in the Summer....

I think it's a 'nowcast' situation this evening for Dublin and the east coast, could bubble up anywhere but does look very good after midnight too

Yeah could very well be now cast. But yeah after midnight for sure and there was a big blue blob over Dublin around 3am

It has only started, activity will increase as the night goes on.
