My logic is that if Friday is bad, we'll have a red warning anyway so no need to go into work.

    :D

I like it, both your cunning and your optimism :D

Yeah could very well be now cast. But yeah after midnight for sure and there was a big blue blob over Dublin around 3am

I think we'll see more soon, the Irish sea seems to be waking up slowly...

Met Éireann precipitation chart at 9pm. South Cork seeing heaviest falls. Extremely light or non existence pretty much everywhere else.

It's like someone set a bunch of angry cats loose at a packing foam factory here in Dublin 7 - garden is covered in lots of little perfectly formed bits of hail. Barely melting at all, which bodes well for any snowfall.

Just made it home. Snow belting down during the afternoon and started again about 5 mins from home. The roads are already like glass and the temp is reading -2, visibility very very poor.

I can't see me being able to get out in the morning especially if more showers come later in the night.

Location 120 M asl in Carlow.

Drove from Raheny to Lusk around 5.30pm... funny to go from nothing to a reasonable covering here, must be a couple of cm's

Cork Co Co outdoor staff in Water Services being briefed to prepare Water Treatment Plants tomorrow for an eventuality of site visits not being possible Thursday/Friday in worst case scenario.

    This could be epic :)

Lads, just got back from a walk on northside of Cork city and the wind is ferocious and it’s snowing (albeit lightly) so I think that constitutes a blizzard :-D
