    This has gone so beautifully.

    I can't believe it.

Visibility at 100-200 metres, building up fast now.

I remember in 2010 at the beginning of the snow someone made a snow map and mapped out all the places that people posted as having snow. Can't remember did he do the depth too.

I'm supposed to drop my son to the bus in a bit over two hours in KK town heading to central Dublin and from there he goes to Rathgar for work and then back again in the evening to catch the bus from the quays home to Kilkenny. What are the chances of him being stranded in Dublin? Should he miss the day's wages and stay put in bed?

    Thoughts, please? :)

Conditions not going to improve, stay put!

Some would say it's only an appetiser. Now that the orchestra is playing in perfect unison we can begin the meal.

This has to be a red alert for Dublin for tomorrow. Dublin 13 and watched a taxi drive down the main road. Two minutes later its tracks were completely covered again.

Maybe it was a taxi for newinvestor :-)

Is this newinvestor a poster on here. Is he related by any chance to youngpensioner?:)

And now sir, prepare to measure your snow.

I'm putting on the coat and hitting the streets.

What time roughly are the winds suppose to start swinging round a bit or is it just a slow cumulative process over the night?

    Any update around UCD?

Can't see out of my rooftop window in greystones, covered in snow.

    This is worse than 2010

Persistent moderate to heavy snow in D6 for the past hour or so. Never seen anything like it. Makes you wonder what the rest of the week will be like when the apparent worst of it hits!!

I am tempted to go out in it but the family is sleeping, don't wanna wake them up!

You can't see UCD from Greystones even when it's not snowing!

Still moderate snow in Dublin 5 but the wind has eased down a tad I think.

I got home and found the footpaths like skating rinks, the earlier snow melted on the concrete and then froze. All salted now so I won't be faced with dealing with any family members having broken limbs in the morning.

A taxi came down my road about 15 mins ago to drop someone home and the tracks have already been covered up. Drimnagh/Crumlin area. I have a meeting at 10am tomorrow that I'm expecting to get a cancellation call about around 8am at this rate.
