Visibility gone so low here in cork city, snow is heavy enough . Not sticking to the road her though still melting as it hits it but leftover footprint in old snow is gone! This has already surpassed 2010 down here

Kinsale about to get a very heavy shower according to netweather's radar

It has just begun - mix of snow and hailstone - bucketing it.

About 4 inches of the white stuff in east Cavan, virginia area. Snow and a few hail showers on and off all day. Mostly cloudy with a few short-lived appearances form the sun. Hovering between -1 & -2 degrees all day in a biting wind, absolutely no sign of a thaw all day.

This is a confusing chart for me. I'm unfamiliar with it. What exactly does it indicate?

European alerts, linked from the RHS of https://www.met.ie's website.
    called: 'Meteoalarm' http://www.meteoalarm.eu/ (for snow/ice).

Probably one of those European centralised quango thingymajigs.
Sure well all be paying 25% the same flatrate EuroCorpTax by 2025.
Entry into the Eurovision sing-song competition, will also be compulsory.

Drove from Athlone on the M6 at lunch time. One lane kinda free on both sides. Traffic moving along around 60kmh. But that was too feckin slow for some knobs

I'm so jealous of you all. Feel like I'm in a bubble here, work place in Limerick, drive through North Cork to South Tipp and still nothing. Yet customers all around us are telling us they've a ton of snow.

I've all my work done because I thought I'd have to leave early today, no chance by the looks of it and nothing tonight.

Bored now. I'll have to wait until tomorrow evening I think to see anything decent. Sick waiting now, it's like waiting for Christmas.

Here is some of the beautiful convection coming in from a due easterly at Arklow

Beautiful but dry due to the lleyn peninsula to Arklow being just shy of the required fetch
Not that much Longer fetches south of here are working

    Anyway the almost cb

Fear not my Arklownian Friend!! No one will be able to tell the difference between your 300mm of snow after Emma and my 350mm of snow after Tuesday Night + Emma. ;):)

12Z HIRLAM (50% of MÉ's guidance) for next 48hrs. Note the intensity of precipitation at times, 8mm to 9mm per hour (8 to 12cm of snow per hour)

Edit: can't get the gif working. 5am Friday below.

Anyone remember the post of the photo of the snowman sitting on the bench with a pint? Or is it in the earlier thread?

In south Cavan the same. Heavy showers on off all day. Not sure on depth due to drifts

Looks like the most active part of that shower will hit city centre to blackrock. Looks ominous over the sea
