Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Drinkwater ahead of Francesc from the start was a bit laughable considering how unadventurous United are.

Controlled the entire 2nd half upto this point but sure see what you want.

That was a very tight call on Morata. Right though.

Looks like it wasn't the right call in the end.

Not a straw... he was onside. Another example of why they need video replay.

Tactical masterclass from Jose. Tied Conte up in so many knots by flooding the central midfield and marking Hazard tightly that Conte ended up hauling off his best player. He also had the sense to recognise Martial was mediocre and replaced him with Lingard who got the winner.

Outstanding stuff and as a nice bonus today also destroys the theory spouted by many several months ago that United should have gone for Morata rather than Lukaku.

    A grand day.

Shocker from Conte. I know Giroud is a fairly sh!t alternative but the persevere with Morata is bizarre. Almost like he wants to be sacked.

It was the best result for Liverpool. Puts 4 points between them and Chelsea with Chelsea to play City next week.

That’s a great result for both United and Liverpool in fairness with City next up for Chelsea it looks like Spurs will make up the top 4

Not the best performance but the win was crucial here. Been a good week for Utd.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20,337 ✭✭✭✭monkey9

Chelsea under serious pressure now for a top four spot. Realistically, they're gonna need to win the Champions League now to get back into it.

I never said it was pathetic. Liverpool haven't done as well this season against the other top 6 though as last year.

It's the result that Spurs would have been hoping for as well. City have the League wrapped up so everyone else's goal is Top4 for CL qualification. Once Top 4 is secure then you can be pissed if you finished 3rd instead of second.

    Credit to Lukaku.

He takes a lot of stick for disappearing in these games, but he showed great composure for the 1st, and produced a cross he begs for for the second.

He stood up today and showed some class.

Chelsea will feel they left that game behind them though. They were sucker punched twice really.

And? Just because one fan said it doesn't mean everyone thinks it.

Enjoy your win and forget about your point scoring for your imaginary internet points.

Souness needs to get glasses, he couldn't see anything that Sanchez did in the game.
He was in the build up to the Lukaku goal.

United showed today why they are still a dangerous team despite seeming like they've no form in last few weeks. Closed that game out really well and Chelsea ran out of ideas in the last 15mins. It puts their dire performance midweek into perspective. Just cos they play **** football doesn't mean they are ****. I'd say there's alot of CL teams that don't wanna draw them in next round.

Disagree with that. I think the first half was pretty much even and 1-1 was a fair representation of that but second half United were much the better team. Sucker punched would imply that Chelsea were superior and United got lucky when that obviously wasn't the case at all

I think he means the offside that was inside? Not sure what the second one is though.
