Welcome to WEREWOLF XXIV

The year was 1985 and in the sleepy California town of Hill Valley, the McFly family were about to have a week they would never forget.



Biff Tannen had had enough of the McFlys and Doc Browns meddling and had opted to sort them out once and for all. His dream of an Evil Empire was still very much a reality. Marty and Doc, with the help of the McFly family will travel through time to try and prevent Biff taking over the town.







So welcome one and all, as we travel through time with Marty, Doc, Biff, and many more. Take your seats, keep your feet and hands in, sit back, relax and ENJOY THE RIDE





MEET THE VILLAGE

Protagonist - MARTY MCFLY - Loves nothing more than skateboarding, play guitar, and his sweetheart Jennifer, that's when he is not setting fire to living room rugs. Marty will have the power to sway wolves back from the dark side, but Biff also has tricks up his sleeves...

Seer - DR. EMMET BROWN - The inventor of the DeLorean time machine will not be left scratching his head too long, each night he will have the power to peek one player and will be told their role.

Lover - JENNIFER PARKER - While sleeping at the porch door, Jennifer will have one guess each day to find Marty. If successful, she will join Marty in a shared room. However, the poor lass will dies of a broken heart when Marty dies. But, there is also more than meets the eye!

Revealed Day 1

Bodyguard - GEORGE MCFLY - With his first book about to be published, George has found the courage to protect one player each night from the morning munch and evening SK Kill (on same day).

Priest - LORRIANE MCFLY - Now, in the arms of a courageous George, Lorriane will learn the roles of all who are killed.

Revealed day 2

Interrogator - SEAMUS MCFLY - Seamus is a humble gentleman who moved from Ireland in the 1880's, but he won't settle for any nonsense. Each night he will invite a player to his farmhouse for a chat and some Whiskey, This player will loose all their powers while out rambling and could suffer a hangover.

MEET THE EVILS

Alpha wolf - BIFF TANNEN - Has had enough of everyone around him and has an Evil Empire on his mind. Peeks as good to all seer checks.

Wolf - MATCH - Joins Biff on his quest to found his Evil Empire.

Serial Killer - GERALD STRICKLAND - The hard-as-nails principal of Hill Valley High will take no slackers. To aid him, he will have one kill each night at at Lynch time.

Wolf - GRIFF TANNEN - Joins wolf team

Revealed day 2

Wolf - Buford "Mad Dog" Tannen - Another wolf has awoken

Seriel Killer - JAMES STRICKLAND - Chief Marshal of Hill Valley and grandfather of Gerald Strickland, he is now team SK

SPECIAL ROLE

Assassin - Role randomised between all players before start, can be any player good or bad. If this player is lynched, the player who put the last vote on them will also die.


But wait!!....!there's more, there will be 3 on-thread tasks to win goodies, one task each day on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. What the tasks and prizes are, are anyone's guess


NB: There are more roles only the mods know about at this time.....TO BE CONTINUED!

Rules:

1) Once you are killed do not post in the thread again.
2) Don’t cheat, it’s a game that relies heavily on the players having integrity. No PMing other players in the game, and no chat about the game outside of this game thread.
3) Please all try to reasonably contribute to the game thread and always remember to get a vote in as a minimum. Try to have a minimum of 5 posts per day.
4) No posting of any PM's from the game mod or referring to the content of them.
5) If you've got any questions for us send the mods a message. Game MODS: Digital Solitude; Loughc; Kolido
7) Win conditions are listed below.
8) Don’t be a sensitive soul. While boards own forum rules clearly take precedence over any in-game rules that I have, this is a game where people will be insulted, there will be some bad language and people will try to provoke a reaction out of each other. Please accept this is part of the game and don’t go annoying the mods with the report post button unless really needed.
9) If someone misses 2 votes in a row without a good reason they will be modkilled and, where possible, replaced with a substitute.
10) DO NOT EVER EDIT A POST. IF YOU HIT THE POST REPLY BUTTON THEN LIVE WITH IT. YELLOW CARDS AND RED CARDS WILL BE HANDED OUT TO PLAYERS WHO EDIT POSTS.
11) Do not share your vote form password to anyone else. All votes for the lynch have to be made by yourself.
12) Have fun, make meme’s, take the piss and try to enjoy the game.
13) The votes will be published when we announce the Lynch. They will be posted in order of who received the most votes and then in chronological order but with no timestamps.
14) People are free to post in the thread until the lynch and slaughter are announced. You are not dead until I make a post in the game thread announcing it.
15) In the event of a tie in lynch votes, the last vote cast before a certain time to be decided by the mods will be the decider.
16) No on-thread tasks will involve posting of GIFS, PICS, or VIDEOS of any sort. We encourage posting of all of these formats.
16) Lynches will take place at 9pm, munches at 10am, and SK kills at 9pm also. First scheduled action will be a wolf munch on Monday 10am, if they win an on thread task.

Win Conditions:

For a village/good win they simply have to kill all the werewolves and the Serial Killers
For a wolf win, they have to gain parity of numbers with the village. E.g. 3 wolves and 3 villagers left = wolf win and the Serial Killer(s) must be dead.
For a Serial Killer(s) win, they have to gain parity with the village or wolves or both

Is it strictly "only the mods" that know of the extra roles, or do the player themselves know their secret role, even if the rest of us aren't aware of it from the OP. If the former, when do the players find out they've an extra role?


The evils seem a bit on the light side - only three over two teams. But Marty's "power to sway wolves back from the dark side", and the repetition of "Serial Killer(s)" (plural) would seem to indicate recruitment will be afoot. If or when we get more SKs, do they work as a team together, or (as traditional with SKs) as individuals out for their own? Will Biff also be able to recruit, and if so how? Will these be on-thread tasks, and separate to the tasks open to all players?

Team Biff don't seem to have a guaranteed first kill. We should be on the look out for tasks between now and 10am:

Noting Biffs desire to build an evil empire in the flavour of the OP makes me think that he can convert but Marty has the power to swing someone back to the good side.

Presumably conversions happen if a task is completed, 3 days of tasks according to the OP

Yeah there are only 7 confirmed roles so I imagine there’s either a lot of unconfirmed roles or a chance for recruitment throughout the game

Yes, but it would also seem that there will be tasks will all be competing for (per below), so spotting Biff's on those days will not be easy. The only time Biff has to complete a task but the rest of us don't us between now and 10am for the right to a first munch.
