A proposed law going through the European Parliament got a last minute paragraph or two allowing member states and the EU to censor the internet, a la China, North Korea and Russia.

With 'friends' like this, who needs enemies in the law making racket?

The EU itself, and its 'member states' need direct democracy, a la Switzerland, to control the excesses of dictatorship dressed up as 'democracy'. Under the Swiss system, all one needs is to gather 100'000 signatures to call a vote than than dump a sick parliamentary law creation initiative.
