The mountain shadow really made a difference it seems
South Dublin got mostly dumped on, while city and north really escaped.
Ballycullen, Firhouse seeing maybe 40cm+ with 4-5ft drifts against higher walls. We seem to always get a pasting in the foothills here!

Snowed powdery snow all night in Fethard, Co Tipp - about 6" this am, lots of drifts. Was a bit disappointed during the night tbh, but driving home from work this morning, there was more than enough to cope with on the roads. Quite glad now that we did not get more. But still snowing!!

Sorry to ask. Just woke up.

Have any blizzards materialised in Leinster or Munster overnight?

Moderate snow with zero winds in Limerick.

Not a whole lot in Carlow town, more fell here Tuesday night than last night

No extra snow at all last night here in south Drogheda , although extremely windy ....... temperatures much milder too , I’m utterly delighted, so are the birds

. Tired of all this over done weather stuff now , wall to wall, back to back media coverage . Jesus how on earth did we manage to live in past weather events !

This has been much less of an event than 2010 and 1982 - lots of snow but no comparison at all !

Make your way to north Kildare and eat your words. Which you won’t be able to given that there’s heavy snow gusts and easily 30+ cms of snow on the roads

Must be your Sky box. Ours is going fine and we are in Meath so I half expected for the dish to collapse overnight.

Very windy in Tullamore but no new snow since around 9.00 last night. Was looking forward to Snowmageddon but hasn’t materialized. If anything wind is blowing snow away.
Haven't you had snowmageddon for the past few days already? It's been all over the news.

I see the forecast is saying a mix of rain and snow tomorrow - are roads expected to be drivable again tomorrow?

Is traffic moving in the town ok?

I live off Skerries Road and walked down the main road for a looksee. They’ve been gritted but not a single car (or person) was around. Think everyone is staying indoors, safe and warm!

If it's raining this fella doesn't like going out in the rain getting his paws wet. Not today though.

Done with it now. The novelty of it has well and truly worn off. Cant wait for it to melt away over the weekend. Hopefully another decade before it's back

    Same for D13. So disappointing.

Same in Dublin 5 on the coast. Rather disappointed after getting 2 good days of snow I was expecting much more. 10 miles as the crow flies from my home to Rathfarnham & its the worst snow since 1982.

Dublin can possibly get snow in Dublin today. Fingers crossed

Sligo Town really unscathed last night. Fresh dustings on gardens and footpaths. With the wind, depth ranges from nothing, to only a few inches. One side of car totally clear, other side a wall of snow couple inches thick.

If you were to only go by Sligo Town, you could say the Government, and local businesses, over hyped it, reading some of this thread though, think they may it got it right though when taking in the whole country.

North West was actually down graded last night as well.

Stop giving false advice. Employers can still expect you in work legally. Wouldn't be good employers though

Aren't you legally in work even when you are travelling there? So the responsibility of your safety is on your employer if you venture out in this weather?

Met E radar showing all of Dublin covered in blue. Net Weather showing a huge dry spot over Dublin, its not making it over the mountains.

I've been up since 7am and theres only been a few light flakes.
