It's been ramping up all afternoon in D9 but it's really kicked off. Getting very stormy outside.

I wouldn't really mind if it melted now. Id love if our weather was always snowy (not this intense though) but Im so exhausted from always being out in the snow and checking radars and charts and this thread and always looking out windows and being so excited all the time for snow and being stressed from streamers missing your area and hardly sleeping haha

    A tired snow bunny

Do you think Paschal might give County Cork (and not just the city) a mention on the 6 one news?

He did. You must be delighted!

Light snow here in Dundalk. The leading edge of that precipitation band has finally arrived.

    Made a sprinkle lastnight
1 degree but nasty wind making it feel much colder

Paschal hasn't moved from Washington street. He must be staying in jurys.

My husband drove from our house to Ennistymon which is about two miles max away. He was shaking after the drive. He counted 15 skids.

Don't even think about going out. It's lethal out there.

Needed subtitles for a few of those lads in Kerry

Very. Very fine powder snow in goatstown (Dublin) at them moment. Hoping it picks up and gets a bit heavier!

Having had a look at his twitter feed and some of the pictures he's taking it seems not.

Giving it socks for the last hour in Swords!

Its actually gotten even heavier here in Kildare with huge new accumulations, my car is almost totally encased in snow now and drifts are getting bigger and bigger. I'm in disbelief at this stage, even with all the amazing charts I wasn't expecting anything close to this much snow

I don't understand why people are letting their vehicles and driveways become encased in snow. (I'm in North Kildare too). It is going to be a nightmare to shift compacted, frozen snow. I've shifted it every day even though I have no intention of going anywhere (couldn't if I tried).

Snow is starting to form a light dusting on our cars that we cleared of the big snow accumulation today. Ground is very wet though.

Finally stopped snowing in South Wexford. Landscape reminiscent of scenes from 'Day After Tomorrow'

Keelin confirms that the 'East Coast' means Dublin really as far as the NECC is concerned. I knew it. I knew it.

Tallaght is getting worse by the minute. Could see the entire roof of the car this afternoon (cleared yesterday) and its invisible again with 2-3" of snow. All cars on street are going invisible one by one.

3rd day in a row that the temperature at my location stayed below 0C. Today was the warmest with a high of -0.1C.
Currently falling as night takes charge.

Sure that's hardly a shock. Waterford is the south according to TV3. Paul Byrne must be sick of standing in Waterford.
