So I lost my Switch

Yeah, I'm a stupid eejit and forgot to grab it as I was leaving the coach this afternoon. So I have lost that, and all the physical games I had (all of them) as it was in a carrying case/pouch when I lost it.

My biggest concern besides that is my details are on my account on that console - bank card details etc.

I have already emailed Nintendo about it but I'm anxious in case whoever gets their hands on it gets onto my details before Nintendo get back to me.

    Can I do anything further?

Another massive gripe I have is whenever I start the ball rolling again buying a new console, is I have to buy those games a second time and start them from scratch. Thanks Nintendo for not giving us cloud saves.... mini rant over.

Cancel your card that's registered. Ring up whoever issued it. You could ring the coach company as well, see if it was handed in.

Oh well, give me an easy life and a peaceful death.

Can Nintendo not remove my details from my system if I give them a serial number or something?

I have already contacted Dublin Coach but they told me they wont get back to me until tomorrow. By then god knows - be a miracle if I have it found by that stage

Your account details may have been compromised, I think you need to ring your issuing bank & report it. Account first, Switch second.

Bank details are masked (they show as **** **** **** 1234)
I expect they are encrypted on the device too.

Did you have purchases protected by password?

Dont suppose there was a chance of somebody handing it in or a staff member finding it when they were cleaning the bus Sounds like you were on an liner city bus. Did you chance calling them?

Look on the bright side, if it was nicked, the guy got off the bus. He's probably dead now in the snow. You win!

Nintendo do encrypt credit card data, unlike a certain other gaming company.

Just make sure you notify your bank, if anything suspicious happens you'll at least be able to argue that you told them about it.

Well there are no buses running so you have a chance anyway.
