Overcast in Castlebar with some light rain, can see us just hovering around the 14C mark for most of the week with Saturday maybe a bit warmer but wet.

Cloudy with some drizzle in Dublin 5. Like last week all over again.

Has reached 18c here but the wind seems to be getting stronger and stronger. Frequent gusts sending stuff flying

    Dublin airport:

    2pm : 15c
    2:30pm: 19c

    Quite a nice Jump.

Shannon airport reporting 18c, meanwhile only 15.3c here in West Clare but the sun is starting to fight the clouds. Very windy.

Cork airport reporting 11c, a difference of 8c between Dublin and Cork!

Meanwhile London Heathrow is basking in 24c.

15c here in West Limerick, sunshine at times but a fierce breeze there. Haven't seen clouds cross the sky this fast since the morning of Ophelia

Doesn't feel awfully warm in Dublin. It feels about right for the time of year. Mostly cloudy but some sunny spells too.

Maximum of 19.6c at Phoenix Park makes this the warmest day in Ireland since October.

Have had to turn on the heating again in Cork City, while the temps don't show cold it is still cold :p. Amazing the difference!

Persistent strong gusts in Castlebar for the last hour.

Achill Island was a bleak place this afternoon with big waves off shore 30831466_2068973856453060_534179789_n.jpg?_nc_cat=0&oh=d9b0cfc41a13b118cbc79b9cd7dc751f&oe=5AD8CDE8

Yes..I saw those this afternoon... very impressive indeed... but so gloriously WLD

Wasn't expecting any real sunshine or heat today but that wind, way worse than yesterday and Monday. 12c now grey sky and looking like rain.

Did the east get the warmth an sunshine?

Nice and sunny at Grange this evening, breathtaking weather for a change. I'm loving it!

To think this time last month, I was struggling with a maximum of 1c and heavy snow showers.

Mean speed 23 knots which is nearly 50kmh or 12m/s crazy, completely wipes out the feeling from sunshine here in West Wicklow, not even now we get it right, it leaves now barely 3 useful days from this "heatwave" thank goodness its my last spring and summer on this island, the nice weather is like snow here, promises beyond 144hrs,the closer we get it then it sinks to a mere 2 day event time and time again,March 2018 being an exception re. Promising forecasts verifying, I can bet the unsettled cold next week will verify 130% and we will be waiting for another 2 decent days sometime in middle of May

Jesus that’s a bit of a disappointing forecast for the weekend. Complete non event meanwhile the continent basks in it.

Yep, basically cloudy, windy, some rain with average temperatures.

A positive we can take from the latest FI outlook is at least the Jet has fully recovered from it's drunken stupor and our weather will balance into some sort of normality, even if that is our usual dross. God knows the farmers need it.

Another cool overcast day after overnight mist and drizzle

  • Registered Users Posts: 13,615 ✭✭✭✭sryanbruen

ARPEGE shows an area of cloud pushing northwestwards towards the evening after an interval of clearer air heads the same way. More mist and fog will develop overnight with this.

SSTs are certainly starting to warm up around us though still largely cooler than average.
