Recorded Episode 1 from RTE so will watch soon. Two episodes are on next week. I was going to give it a miss but the reviews on here are fantastic and the Brother in the states is a big fan.

Was it a double episode on RTE last night?

My Sky box only recorded one - but it's approx two hours long.

Best TV show by mile...you just know its building to another fierce showdown.
Costner's on screen presence is a joy to watch

This show definitely seems to goes under the radar... mentioned it to a few friends and none of them have heard of it. This season has been great (as were seasons 1 &2). Some of the cinematography so far has been stunning.

Only got around to watching this recently after having it on my to do list. Flying through it. Nearly finished season 2. Some great characters. I'd love to go on the piss with Beth!

I think Beth can be annoying. She's some lose cannon. Rips a bit of a nut aswell so there we'll matched.

This review by Ed Power in the Irish Times surprised me. Clearly not a fan of Costner to say the least. Yellowstone

After reading that review it's fairly clear he didn't watch it very attentively.

That review read like some who never watched a minute of the show and just read the shows Wikipedia episode guide page.

It is filmed in Utah, which is a beautiful state.

I thought it was actually filmed in Montana. America is such a vast open beautiful country away from the cities.

It is filmed in both Utah and Montana.

The Ranch and the big house are in Montana on Chief Joseph Ranch located in Darby.

You can pay to stay there.

    Cowboys and Dreamers.

The futility of being a cowboy/rancher was really shown this week.

Kelly Reilly has been a rockstar the last few episodes and stealing the show

She reminds me of Diane Keaton

Have to say this is must watch TV for me at the moment, can't wait for the cousin's tape to arrive, the whole father/son dynamic this season is brilliant for me, John and Kayce are played brilliantly by the 2 characters.

I've a "thing" for TV shows that has a lot of drinking where I try to match the characters drink for drink, Peaky Blinders nearly killed me but I reckon I'll give this 1 a go some night when Mrs. Clareman heads away with the kids :D

This on any of the streaming platforms? Would be starting from scratch.

I don't think Paramount are fans of streaming services as they are looking to launch their own in the States, there's a few episodes up on the RTE Player if you want to start from scratch

They really do know how to do an ending to an episode.

    All for nothing!

This is the fastest 40 odd minutes of any show I watch week in week out the show ends to quickly.

Good to see why Beth would despise her brother so much. Brilliant episode

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,427 ✭✭✭Sudden Valley

I like this show but the Hysterectomy storylines makes no sense. A major surgery by a tribal clinic that would never have happened even in America. They should have gone with forced sterilisitation becasue that would have at least been realistic. I hate when shows get medical scenarios so wrong. Actually I really like Beth and the Sawyer actor (I still know him only from lost)- they would make a good couple.

Damn that episode was too short

I've given up on it. It just goes from one disaster to the next.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 61,178 ✭✭✭✭Agent Coulson

WOW WOW WOW I didn't see that one coming at all and explains a lot off why John has always been off with Jamie.

The new young bunkhouse girls have been a great addition to the cast.

The roadtrip scenes were just so funny.

That was some cowboying lassoing the guy through the window that lead to a really great scene.

Holy **** I'll say it again they know how to and ending to an episode.

What a brilliant episode, this really is must-watch TV, must start re-watching the whole lot of it as it all ties back to previous stuff that just happened.

    Brilliant. Sheer brilliance.

COSTNER'S line to the old foe in the diner was just hilarious.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,015 ✭✭✭✭Mc Love

Anyone think that old lad is Jamie's real father?

Well that ending throws the cat among the pigeons.

Looks like there will be a cowboy war coming up.

Monica was amazing in this episode.

Monica storyline was a bit predicable...expected Lloyd and Rip to walk into an ambush...bitof a twist with Walker coming back in.
Definitely mother of all cowboy battles coming up...
    Damn its good TV
Only 2 left in this season.

“Yellowstone” TV series will move filming and production to Montana
The popular “Yellowstone” series featuring Kevin Costner announced Friday it plans to move its production to the Missoula Valley and surrounding locations later this month.

The series was formerly shot in Utah and will be filmed solely in Montana for the first time in its history, according to Friday’s announcement.

The production secured a 40,000 square foot space on over 100 acres in Missoula, though the exact location wasn’t disclosed. The lease for “Yellowstone” production facilities was brokered by Sterling CRE Advisors of Missoula.

“Montana is poised to welcome productions of this size and caliber,” said Matt Mellott of Sterling. “While not every building is a turn-key sound stage, all it takes is a visionary investor to see the potential in their own backyard. This owner isn’t walking into a typical lease.”

Will Patton is a great addition to the cast.

Well that sets up next weeks season finale nicely.

    I have a feeling
Walker might already have been put up against a wall and going back undercover was
    his only out.

They said back in September .... after credits at end of Season 1

i don't think this season has been good as last season. Also a lot of the characters seem more miserable and I have begun to actively want the family to lose.

Good season finale. The most interesting character next season I think will be Jamie . If no one actually ends up being dead at the beginning of the next season I think it will be a bit of a cop-out.

    very enjoyable series

I don't rate Beth's chances whatever about Casey and John.

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators, Regional Midwest Moderators Posts: 24,021 Mod ✭✭✭✭Clareman

Now that's how you finish a series, a load of characters you don't know if they'll survive. I was way way way too worried about Rip by the way

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,494 ✭✭✭moby2101

Like an Episode of Dallas in the good ol days!!!
Great cliffhanger whodunit with so many different possibilities...
    Roarke and Market Equities
    The Bikers?
    The Native Americans
    Jamie....doubtful

I hope Beth survives. I reckon casey will die. He's def the weaker of the Dutton characters.

    What a season finale though.

10 months to wait until it returns. This is one of those rare series I wish I hadn’t discovered until it was complete and I could finish the entire thing.

Discovered it when it was it at 03.07, binged everything but the final two weeks.
