So, your logic is that the accused is always guilty.........except that sometimes they get off because of a reasonable doubt.
    Have I got that right?

No. You haven't got that right.

I believe it's necessary for guilty people to walk free if that lessens the chance of innocent people being locked up. In this particular case, I believe Paddy Jackson and his friends were far from innocent.

If you tuned in to this show not knowing the verdict, the tone of the discussions would lead you to believe they had all been found guilty.

I don't think any man accused of rape would get a fair trial if you were on the jury.

Would make for shorter trials anyway.

The defence and prosecution both have to state their case in 140 characters or less.

I'd like to think the deliberation would have taken slightly longer than a couple of hours.

Just do a five minute Liveline text poll, usually very accurate and all that. With the usual biased guidance from the presenters after hearing only one side of the argument.

    Text Y for Guilty

    Text N for Not Guilty

PBH is happy now with a tale of medical misery. :(

They were found not guilty in a system which, when the jury believes there is reasonable doubt, demands a not guilty verdict - even if that means that scum like Paddy Jackson and friends walk free.

Hmm, I'd be more careful what I'd write if I were you. Especially given the evidence retrieved from phones and social media in this particular trial.

It's almost a relief, after the suppressed shrieks of outrage earlier.
