That's what I thought earlier. Why didn't Peadar just send off the €5.90 and be done with it? Part of the terms and conditions of citizenship etc etc

And yes, whilst the letter may seem pointless, it does keep someone in employment in the public service :)

It keeps a computer in employment rather than a person.

This climate change thing is very confusing - it snows a blizzard and we're told the cause is 'climate change'. Now we hear here that African species may take up living here as it'll be warmer :) Somebodies got the wrong handle somewhere.

Now you know why they don't call it 'global warming' any more!

We can look forward to more extremes of weather as our climate changes. Hopefully, the bitter winters will kill off the scumbags invasive species.

Climate change tends to mean that we’ll experience more extremes in weather. Colder, hotter, windier, wetter, drier, all within the year or do, rather than the grey drizzle and periodic strong breezes we are accustomed to

That's another confusing thing - I thought 'Carol Nash' was a dirty word? Did Joe not run several days on the back of said Carol Nash and her doings in de insurdhance business?

And Joe still managed to be an expert on both topics

I remain to be convinced! Lot of old posturing around this subject and watch out for extra taxes & levies supposedly to tackle this enigma.
