I'm sure there is parking at the place. I don't know about hours but they could have it open seeing as the venue is being used and sold out.

    I emailed the Tivoli:

thanks for getting in touch. The venue does not have a carpark and the one beside us closes at 6.30pm.

There is a car park less than 5 minutes walk from us. They close at 12am: Christchurch Car Park 1 Werburgh St.

There is another one, a bit further, like maybe less than 10 minutes on 59-62 Drury St. that closes at 2am.

    Hope this info is helpful.

Grimy but there is a great atmosphere in the "pit" in front of the stage.
I'd say the sound is a lot poorer on either side of this pit so try to get in early and get a good spot in front of the stage.

Thanks for all the parking tips last night
    Great gig, really enjoyed it

Was a great gig last night and sound was acceptable I thought. Jamie XX, in particular, was excellent.

Video recorders and, worse again, chatters were there of course but perhaps not as bad as normal. Around the perimeter there was a good bit of chatter - why do these people go to these gigs?! Same craic ruined LCD Soundsystem for me although it wasn't quite as bad last night.

Anyway, overall I was very impressed with the band and I had a great time. Hope it goes well tonight.

Was it fairly packed last night? Or would you get a relatively comfortable spot ok?

If you're late there will be space towards the back at either side which wouldn't be too bad if it wasn't for the chatterboxes

Ah thanks! Don't really mind where I get but don't like being completely squashed up against, never that comfortable! People talking at a gig do my head in, go out to the smoking area if you want a chat ffs. Or better yet give your ticket to someone who wants to listen to the fecking gig haha
