Does anyone know of any good priced hotels in Key West in Florida?

Everything that I've checked is way over 200 euro per night.

    Cheers

No idea about hotels but try to eat at a The Stoned Crab.

Have you stayed in Key West before?

    What is your budget?

No, I've never stayed or been there before but I've heard nothing but good things about the place.

I don't have the flights booked so if the accomodation is more than 200 dollars per night then I'll probably look elsewhere.

Would there be anything for 150 dollars per night in the area?

Key West is quite expensive whole year round. Been there twice. January and June and prices were crazy that is why it was twice one day trip from Miami.

If someone is offering you cheaper room, check it first.

Is the place expensive as well as the accommodation?

We'd be flying into Miami so we're also considering staying there. Did you spend much time there?

I would say prices are the same as anywhere in USA. Food, drinks, parking.

One day was enough for me to visit Key West. Walked around, checked out famous tourist places, spent some time on the beach, grabbed something to eat.

Left Miami early morning, came back late evening. There are few places on the way you can stop and take a photo or two.

Been 3 or 4 times now

Twice as day trips and stayed twice

Would love to go back, but the drive from Miami gets to me

Such a chilled laid back place

Stayed in a really nice B and B there called Azul which was pretty reasonable. It had free parking and was less than a five minute walk to Duval street

Thread moved to where it would be better suited.

I was booked into the blue marlin which was around $150 per night. Looks clean and basic and has great reviews. Never got to stay in it though as had to cancel due to hurricane irma.

Hi Abarkie, I am considering it for a couple of days to start our honeymoon. Is it the kind of place you could easily put down 3 or 4 days lounging around? I see some lovely places on AirBNB for reasonable money with private pools. Is it a place that would get small very quickly. I am happy in any place that has a good choice of decent places to eat. Appreciate any advice, thanks.

Definitely chilled, probably could get small, but for me worth it

Plenty of bars / food (or was pre hurricane)

I would say 3 days due to length of drive ( unless you are flying )

    Enjoy

    Thanks for that.
We’d orobably plan to fly to Miami and drive down from there.

It’s fair spin, definitely doable, but either on the way down or back you might want to stop for one night, Key Largo for example.

Also stop off for an hour in Robbie’s Marina on the way.
110% tourist trap, but hey, why not.

    :D
