    Hi guys
Just curious as to what someone can expect in regards to a marriage ending
In particular loans/debts the other party may owe
Small assets (ie car) and the chances of the mother getting full guardianship of children.

I’d be interested to read any info or insight anyone has to offer

With relation to guardianship, if the children were born after the parents were married then both parents get joint custody and guardianship. It is usually recommended that both parents try to agree a schedule for contact/access. There is a mediation service that you can apply to if they are unable to agree, or else they can go to the courts for resolution.

The mother would need a compelling reason to be granted full guardianship as in effect the judge would be removing a right that has been granted to the father. It is considered in the best interests of the child to have contact with both parents so it would be hard for the mother to be granted solo guardianship, imo.
